Abigail Jurinek

DPT, CMTPT

Abigail Jurinek graduated with high honors from Bradley University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science and minor in Biology. She went on to graduate in 2010 from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Before joining Freedom Physical Therapy Services, Abigail worked over four years at a private practice clinic in Greenfield, WI specializing in work with general orthopedics, vestibular and temporomandibular clients.

In 2012 Abigail was certified in dry needling through Myopain Seminars as a manual trigger point therapist (CMTPT). She uses trigger point treatments, both manually and with dry needling, to address headaches, jaw pain, radicular symptoms, back, and neck pain. She has a strong focus on addressing functional movements and helping people understand correct postures and positions with sleep, exercise, sitting, lifting, or gait to better activate the core system and reduce tension. She believes the body is interconnected and does incorporate systematic assessment for dysfunction with movements.

Abigail also treats balance conditions, including Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). She enjoys working with patients who need balance rehabilitation and training, as well as fall prevention strategies. She has also taken advanced coursework in the area of temporomandibular disorders, allowing her to meet the needs of patients with jaw and facial pain.

Abigail lives in Mukwonago with her husband and their two sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and staying active.
