Eric Whalen graduated from Concordia University (Portland, OR) with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Sports Science. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Concordia University (Wisconsin). While at Concordia, Eric was able to participate in advanced coursework which allowed him to improve his manual therapy techniques along with treatment of patients with sport-related injuries.
Prior to pursuing a career in physical therapy, Eric coached athletes in throwing events for Track and Field and served as a Strength and Conditioning coach while working at Spire Institute in Geneva, OH. Eric has also had the privilege to work with veterans through a Wounded Athlete Reconditioning Program, which allowed him to coach veterans with various medical conditions in Track and Field.
Through his past work experience and clinical internships, Eric has worked with various patient populations, ages, and activity levels. He treats his patients with a whole-body approach while utilizing hands-on manual therapy techniques. Eric enjoys working with patients who are experiencing issues with their spine, shoulder, and hip. Eric is an advocate for improving patients’ health and well-being through physical fitness and exercise.
Eric lives in Wauwatosa with his fiancé Jess. In his free time, Eric enjoys cycling, reading, going for hikes, and exploring what Milwaukee has to offer.
