Monika Burrescia

DPT

Monika, a native of Port Washington, Wisconsin, first appreciated physical therapy after a hamstring tear during her high school track season. She later earned a D1 scholarship for track and cross country at Mississippi State University where she graduated with a BS in Kinesiology and Fitness Management. Monika then provided personal training and was hired as an assistant track coach at CUW before returning to school to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marquette University.

Monika has been providing Physical Therapy since 2010 in subacute PT and outpatient PT patient settings. She enjoys treating older adults with balance and vestibular issues like BPPV, and patients of all ages with overuse injuries, joint replacements, hip, back, and knee pain. Monika finds satisfaction in helping her patients achieve their personal goals.

When not working, Monika enjoys spending time with her family camping, hiking, biking, canoeing, hunting, volunteering as a hunter’s safety instructor with her husband Dominic, roller-skating, playing ice hockey with the OWHL’S, and watching their daughter as goalie for the Ozaukee Ice Dogs, her piano recitals, and Milwaukee Admirals games.
