Ben Schaefer

DPT

Ben Schaefer received his Associate of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Waukesha, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Carroll University.

Ben believes it is fundamental to hear and see patients and get to know them as a whole person, not just a body part. Creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere with patients is the foundation for making a good game plan to augment a patient’s experience. He considers his patient’s goals and other life factors that may be influencing their recovery. Ben uses a multimodal approach consisting of manual therapy, exercise, and education to get patients where they want to be. Incorporating multiple aspects ensures the patient with effective and efficient treatment.

Health and movement have always been important aspects of Ben’s life. Ben endured two elbow surgeries which provided him with the personal experience to understand what patients go through and the process it takes in recovery.

Ben enjoys working with all people who come through the door but is interested in working with athletes such as basketball and volleyball players and post-surgical procedures. When he is not in the clinic, he enjoys spending time out in nature, hunting, fishing, doing small groups through my church, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cooking new recipes!
