Clara Bliske

DPT

Clara Bliske attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and later received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. During her time at UWM, she served on the Student Advisory Board and participated in research exploring how variations in body structure can affect the nervous system and what can be done to promote optimal nervous system function.

As a physical therapist, Clara enjoys hearing her patients’ stories and understanding the factors contributing to their symptoms so she can help them return to the activities they love. Throughout her career, Clara has worked with a wide variety of patient populations, including Division I athletes, individuals recovering from stroke, people living with Parkinson’s disease, post-surgical patients, and many others. She strive to meet each patient where they are and tailor treatment plans to their unique goals, needs, and lifestyle.

Clara’s interest in physical therapy began at an early age. Growing up, her favorite subjects were science and physical education, and after taking her first anatomy and physiology course in high school, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. Clara also discovered a passion for education and realized that physical therapy was the perfect way to combine her fascination with human movement and her desire to help others learn about their bodies.

Although Clara grew up in the Madison area, she has come to love living in the Milwaukee area and being close to the shores of Lake Michigan. Outside of work, Clara enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Milwaukee Brewers games, playing disc golf, hiking, and relaxing at home with her two cats.
