Spencer grew up in the Green Bay area before attending Carroll University, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
As a physical therapist, Spencer takes a holistic approach to patient care, combining hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic modalities with targeted exercise interventions to reduce pain, improve strength, and restore movement. Rather than focusing solely on the site of pain, he evaluates the body as a whole, identifying underlying weaknesses, movement dysfunctions, and contributing factors that may be impacting recovery. He believes that successful physical therapy involves treating the entire person—not just an injured joint or muscle.
A former high school and collegiate cross-country and track-and-field athlete, Spencer has a particular passion for working with runners. Whether helping a first-time 5K participant or an elite marathoner, he brings both clinical expertise and firsthand running experience to every treatment session. By combining detailed movement analysis, running-specific strengthening programs, and skilled manual therapy techniques, he helps runners overcome injuries, return to training safely, and perform at their highest level.
In addition to treating running-related injuries, Spencer has extensive experience working with a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. His clinical interests include hip, knee, and ankle injuries, spine rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, peripheral neuropathy, and balance disorders. He is especially passionate about gait mechanics and finds great fulfillment in helping patients regain confidence in their movement and return to walking and running comfortably.
Outside the clinic, Spencer continues to pursue his love of running through marathon training and competition. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Camila, and their two dogs, Bentley and Ria.
