Breast Health Services
Patients who suffer from disease of the breast often experience musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Those recovering from lumpectomy and mastectomy surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, commonly complain of neck and shoulder pain, stiffness and weakness. This interferes with personal cares, grooming, and activities of daily living. Breast cancer patients may also experience swelling or lymphedema in their arm(s).
Physical and Occupational Therapy are highly effective in helping patients reduce pain and swelling, restore motion and strength necessary for function.
If you suffer from breast disease, and are experiencing the following symptoms, Freedom therapists can help:
- Pain in the breast area or ribcage
- Limited reaching or lifting
- Arm swelling
- Neck or shoulder stiffness
- Difficulty dressing or grooming

- Upper body weakness
Our therapists will perform a comprehensive evaluation, and develop a customized treatment plan to help you on your road to recovery.
