Power Hour at our Fox Point location

Tuesday & Friday mornings with Jessica: 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Power Hour will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 am – 8:30 am starting May 29!
$15.00 per session.

This class focuses on core, hip, knee, shoulder, and scapular strength including 45 minutes of exercise, plus 15 minutes of flexibility work for the spine and extremities.

Pilates Mat Class at our Fox Point location

Thursday nights with Jane: 6:00pm- 7:00pm
$15.00 per session.

Pilates mat class is a method of exercise that rehabilitates and conditions the body for life, utilizing a system of core initiated, connected, flowing movements.

This is a Level 3 to 4 intermediate/advanced level mat class. (Prior experience is required.)

*Classes listed above need a minimum of 5 people to run.

Foam Rolling 101

Instructor: Erin Bafunno DPT, CMTPT

Date and Time: July 25, 2018, 6:30-8:00pm   

Description: This class will focus on the benefits of foam rolling for your overall everyday function and pain management.  Foam rolling can be a beneficial tool to help people of varying exercise levels take an active role in the management and prevention of pain or injury. Please dress in comfortable clothing and bring a foam roller if you own one.  If you do not own one, one will be provided to use during the class.

Restore the Core – A Class for Mothers

Instructor: Diane Ping MPT, CMTPT

Date and Time: Wednesdays 6:30-7: 30 pm, July 25-August 29, 2018

Description: This six-week class takes a step by step approach to reacquaint and train core muscles. The core changes during pregnancy and birth causing compensatory habits which are for a temporary purpose but can be lasting for many women. Each class includes lecture and exercise. Discussion points include core muscles (anatomy, palpation, and exercise), posture, body mechanics, lifting techniques, home exercises, breathing techniques, injury prevention, adapting to the gym. Wear comfortable clothing.  The class is designed for mothers of all ages.  Everyone can benefit physically by discarding old habits and regaining a pre-pregnancy tummy, look taller or thinner!

Osteoporosis

Instructor: Diane Ping MPT, CMTPT

Date and Time: July 26, 2018, 7:00-8: 30 pm    

Description: Osteoporosis is a reduction in bone mass which causes bones to become fragile. When bones are fragile they are at a greater risk for fracture. Peak bone density is developed in youth. Inadequate bone development can lead to common bone injuries in the child/teen athlete population as well as seniors. This lecture by a physical therapist will introduce the treatments available with a focus on lifestyle habits, nutrition, and exercise, to promote gaining bone mass and stronger bones. This class will be appropriate and helpful for athletes, teens, adults, elderly and anyone cooking for children/others. Discussion points will include risk factors, pain, safety, posture, body mechanics, exercise, nutrition, Vitamin D.
