Peter Stathas

Peter Stathas founded Freedom Physical Therapy Services in 1992. Following graduation from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science, Physical Therapy Magna Cum Laude, he joined the staff at Children’s Hospital – Boston to work in the adolescent sports and dance medicine programs. Having been a professional dancer prior to receiving his PT degree, dance medicine has always been an area of interest for him.

After moving to Milwaukee, he became a staff therapist in private practice with Associated Physical Therapists of Milwaukee. During this period of time, he joined Columbia Hospital’s Performing Arts Medicine Group. Peter was the first person to bring the Pilates method to Milwaukee and integrate it into patient treatment programs as well as building a client base and regional training program.

Currently Mr. Stathas is focusing on integrating his manual therapy skills with his dry needling skill and utilizing the Selective Functional Movement Screen along with its prescriptive exercise protocol. His work with both injured golfers and training healthy golfers is his current focus.

Peter resides in both Shorewood and Lake Geneva with his wife and is an accomplished and avid golfer.
